Lindsay Horne

Therapist / MSW, RSWshe/her/hers

Lindsay approaches therapy with the belief that every person is doing their best and that healing is always possible. She offers in-person psychotherapy in Kitchener-Waterloo and virtual therapy to clients across Ontario.

Lindsay specializes in somatic therapy, a body-based approach that helps clients build awareness of physical sensations in order to process trauma and release tension held in the body. This approach promotes emotional well-being and resilience by helping clients reconnect with themselves and develop a stronger sense of safety and regulation.

Her practice is sex-positive, kink-aware, and welcoming of consensual non-monogamy, queer identities, and pagan spirituality. Lindsay is committed to creating an inclusive, affirming, and trauma-informed space where clients can explore their identities, relationships, and experiences without judgment.

Clients often come to Lindsay when they are feeling disconnected from their bodies, overwhelmed by anxiety or stress, or navigating relationship and identity challenges. She works collaboratively and compassionately, helping people move toward greater clarity, connection, and confidence.

More About Lindsay

Lindsay is a Registered Social Worker with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers. She brings a strong background in addiction and mental health, holding certifications in both Addictions and Concurrent Disorders. She is also a Certified Sex Therapist through the American Association of Sexuality Educators, Counselors and Therapists. In addition, Lindsay has completed advanced training as a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner and is a Certified Menopause Mental Health Provider.

Lindsay’s work is honest, compassionate, and deeply body-based. She draws on Somatic Experiencing, Emotion Focused Therapy, and Sex Therapy to help clients understand how trauma is held in the body and how to build more capacity for regulation, safety, and connection. Her approach invites clients to slow down, listen to what their bodies are telling them, and work with those signals to create real, lasting change. This is especially important when it comes to sex and intimacy. Lindsay supports clients in exploring how their bodies respond to these experiences so that sex can feel more grounded, connected, and pleasurable.

Outside of her work at Bliss, Lindsay enjoys spending time with her partner and friends, being in nature, practicing aerial fitness, reading, and finding new ways to keep learning and growing.

Many Employee Assistance Programs (EAP) and extended health care plans will cover services rendered by a Registered Social Worker.
