Kaitlyn supports individuals through challenges with communication, conflict, boundaries, intimacy, and breakups. Kaitlyn operates from a sex-positive lens, working with those who are hoping to better understand the impact of sexuality within their own lives. Kaitlyn has experience supporting individuals with improving their communication, intimacy and comforts with sex, as well as fostering a better understanding of what sex means to them. Within the context of individual sessions, Kaitlyn works with women experiencing low desire to explore their understandings, values and beliefs about sex so that they may embrace and express their most authentic sexual self! Kaitlyn has previous experience working with individuals struggling with self-esteem, ADHD, anxiety, depression, burnout, emotional-regulation, and grief. Kaitlyn has also worked as a Psychological Research Assistant for over six years, supporting individuals and couples who are experiencing mental health struggles. Having worked in the psychological research field, Kaitlyn regularly integrates current research and techniques into her practice. She is always searching for new, creative, and out-of-the-box approaches to enhance her clients’ wellbeing, as well as to tailor her treatment approach to her client’s unique needs. Kaitlyn believes that the most important part of a therapeutic relationship is feeling understood. She approaches her work with curiosity, compassion, and authenticity. Kaitlyn strives to understand her clients, as well as their unique challenges in life. In doing so, she uses an integrative approach that is tailored to each client, drawing from Attachment-Based Therapies, Solution-Focused Therapy, and Emotion-Focused Therapy. In a session with Kaitlyn, you can expect free-flowing conversation, guided by both curiosity and compassion. Kaitlyn strives to create an unbiased, non-judgemental space, in which clients can feel free to explore their challenges in a way that is paced uniquely for them.
