Sarah is a Registered Psychotherapist and is an active member of the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO) & the Ontario Association of Mental Health Professionals (OAMHP), and the Canadian Association for Suicide Prevention (CASP). Sarah brings a validating and warm-hearted approach into her guiding principles as a therapist. She understands that the heart of great therapy starts with a strong therapeutic connection and honours bringing this connection to help you reach your personal and professional goals, while providing care and attention to the deeper parts of you that yearn for change! Sarah provides a safe space for you to feel authentically witnessed, motivated towards change, and capable of approaching your present and past concerns (maybe for the first time) that still need healing. Sarah operates from a trauma-informed framework and is trained in Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR), Internal Family Systems Therapy (IFS), Mindfulness, and uses evidenced-based clinical techniques to help you learn healthy ways of coping. Sarah particularly enjoys working with individuals with concerns relating to: anxiety, assertiveness, boundary setting, career/work issues, communication skills, depression, difficulties in relationships, emotion regulation, emotional neglect in childhood, feelings of inadequacy, life transitions (career/work/school), low self-confidence, self-acceptance, self-care, self-love and compassion, stress management, and work/school/life balance. Many Employee Assistance Programs (EAP) and extended health care plans will cover services rendered by a Registered Psychotherapist.
