Justin is a Master of Social Work student at Wilfrid Laurier University, completing his placement at Bliss Counselling under the supervision of Nicole Belina. He brings a warm, collaborative approach to therapy and is passionate about supporting clients in creating healthier relationships and more fulfilling lives.

Justin’s work is collaborative, trauma-informed, and person centered. He draws from:

  • Motivational Interviewing to help clients explore values and strengthen motivation for change
  • Trauma Informed Therapy to ensure safety, compassion, and care in every step of the process
  • Narrative Therapy to support clients in re-authoring stories that reflect resilience and possibility
  • Biopsychosocial Frameworks to consider the whole person, including mind, body, relationships, and environment
  • Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) to build practical skills for managing thoughts, emotions, and behaviours
  • Person Centered Therapy to create a nonjudgmental, supportive space where clients feel heard and understood
More About Justin

Justin holds a Bachelor of Social Work from Wilfrid Laurier University and a Social Service Worker diploma from Mohawk College. He is currently completing his MSW training and has submitted his application to the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers.

Justin’s style is person centered and collaborative. He believes that you are the expert in your own life and that his role is to walk alongside you as you explore challenges, set meaningful goals, and move toward lasting change. His work is guided by respect, curiosity, and a commitment to creating a safe, nonjudgmental space where you can feel supported and understood.

He brings professional and lived experience to his practice. Justin has supported individuals in mental health crisis shelters and has facilitated court mandated groups for men charged with domestic related offences. These roles have strengthened his dedication to helping men explore healthy masculinity, improve communication, and build stronger connections in their relationships.

Justin draws on therapeutic approaches such as Motivational Interviewing, Trauma Informed Therapy, Narrative Therapy, CBT, and Person Centered Therapy. His areas of focus include goal setting, emotional regulation, boundary setting, assertive communication, dating, and navigating interpersonal relationships.

Outside of his clinical work, Justin enjoys exercising and gaming. At home, he shares his space with a cat who lives a very pampered life and keeps him grounded in the importance of balance, rest, and play.
