Lindsay is a three-time graduate from the University of Waterloo, where she received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Sexuality, Marriage and Family program, and Honours Bachelor of Social Work Degree and a Master’s of Social Work Degree. She also holds a certificate in the Intensive Sex Therapy Training program from the University of Guelph. Lindsay is a member in good standing with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW), the Ontario Association of Social Workers (OASW) and the American College of Sexologists (ACS).
Lindsay uses various modalities such as Mindfulness, Solution Focused Therapy, Strengths-Based Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). She has found these approaches to be helpful in working with clients to manage stress, life transitions, anxiety and depression. She often pulls form the works of John and Julie Gottman, Esther Perel, Imago Therapy and Attachment Theory to help clients identify and breakdown unhelpful patterns, rebuild intimacy and create the sex lives and relationships they want.
Her clinical interests include increasing intimacy and desire, enhancing pleasure, resolving relationship issues, working through infidelity, improving communication and trust, non-monogamous relationships, and sexuality across the lifespan. Lindsay is committed to helping her clients reclaim their sexuality and works with people of all sexual orientations and cultural backgrounds to discover their optimal sexual wellness. She brings to her sessions knowledge and comfort, while creating a safe space to explore all things sex. She is experienced in working with clients with desire discrepancies, painful sex, performance anxiety, rapid ejaculation, delayed ejaculation, and erectile dysfunction. She also helps clients improve sexual communication, confidence and learn more about their sexual self.
In her down time, Lindsay enjoys chilling out with her dog and getting outside– kayaking, swimming, and camping. She feels most at peace by the water, whether that’s sitting on a dock, laying on a beach or floating in waves. She’s a believer in the power of self-care which often includes her love of strength-training, meditation, catching up on mindless TV shows, and connecting with friends and family.
