Charlie Gray

Therapist / MA, RPshe/her/hers

Charlie is a Registered Psychotherapist who pairs clinical care with a warm, justice-infused vibe.

Her work is holistic, trauma-informed, and liberation-minded. Her approach recognizes the inherent healing mechanisms present in all those she works with. She uses researched-based skillsets that powerfully work with the wisdom of the body to transform pain into wisdom, stress into strength, and resilience into rest.

Charlie weaves together modalities such as EMDR and Internal Family Systems to rewire traumatic memories that honour the body’s internal wisdom, with practical tools of somatic and breath-led nervous system regulation to support grounding and increasing capacity.

Her mindful approach with each person she works with cultivates a non-judgemental, self-compassionate, and strengths-based space where clients feel more at home in their body, and freer from the burdens they’ve been carrying.

“Healing happens when we dive beneath the surface and listen to what the body already knows.”

Offering Sessions in . . .
  • Individual Therapy
  • Virtual Therapy
I’m the therapist for you if:
  • You want a steadier nervous system: Anxiety or trauma keeps your body on high alert. Together we’ll build regulation skills that hold steady—so you can ride life’s waves with grounded confidence.
  • Stress is speaking through your body: Chronic tension, migraines, IBS, or other physical symptoms often echo emotional and environmental strain. We’ll address the mind–body loop so relief comes from the inside out.
  • Old patterns keep recycling: Whether it’s your own habits or intergenerational scripts, certain challenges feel stuck on repeat. Evidence-based, depth-oriented modalities help you heal at the root and write a new chapter.
  • You need therapy that’s anti-oppressive: Queerness, neurodiversity, racial justice, and cultural context aren’t afterthoughts—they’re honoured here. Expect care that’s affirming, culturally responsive, and socially aware.
  • You value compassion over judgment: You’re looking for a safe, empathic space to explore discomfort, shame, or big emotions without fear of criticism—only curiosity, warmth, and practical next steps.

More About Charlie

A certified freediving instructor, Charlie has spent years honing the art of breath, depth, and radical stillness—skills she now shares with clients who want to expand their capacity for life’s tougher moments. Her previous years of relief aid and human rights work around the world has deepened her appreciation for human diversity, resiliency, healing, and hope.

When she’s not in session, you’ll find her exploring and foraging along Ontario’s trails, diving underwater wherever she can, experimenting with gluten-free baking, or practising the quiet art of doing absolutely nothing—because rest is resistance and therapists are human too.
