Dominique Spanovic
Therapist Intern (Supervised Practice) / RP (Qualifying)she/her/hersDominique brings a calm, grounded presence to her work, offering a space where you can feel understood, respected, and more at ease being yourself. She approaches therapy with curiosity and collaboration, working alongside you to explore your experiences and focus on what matters most to you. Dominique believes that meaningful conversation can open up new ways of understanding yourself and your experiences. She creates a space where your voice, pace, and priorities guide the process, and where conversations invite new ways of seeing and responding.
Dominique works under the supervision of Kelly McDonnell, MA, MBA, RSW, RP, a senior therapist, clinical supervisor, and founder of Bliss Counselling. With Kelly’s guidance, Dominique provides thoughtful, supervised care while continuing to develop her own clinical voice. Clients benefit from both Dominique’s relational approach and Kelly’s extensive clinical expertise.
Dominique has previous experience working with individuals, couples, and families. She supports clients in noticing patterns in their lives and relationships and exploring how those patterns may be opening up or narrowing their sense of possibility. Her approach focuses on helping clients reconnect with their core self and moving toward a way of being that feels more aligned and intentional. She believes every client brings valuable knowledge, strengths, and skills, and works with them to use these in ways that create change that feels real and lasting.

Dominique is currently completing the final year of her Master of Psychotherapy degree at
the University of Guelph and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of
Waterloo.
Her work is strengths-based and values-driven, balancing both validation and gentle
challenge. She adapts her approach to each person, paying attention to what feels most
helpful in the moment. Dominique strives to be the kind of therapist who is steady,
thoughtful, and responsive, someone who can meet you where you are while staying open to
where things might go.
Outside of her work, Dominique can often be found puttering in her garden, relaxing with
family and friends, or dabbling in a new hobby.
