Nabya Adil
Therapist / MSW, RSWshe/her/hersNabya Adil is a compassionate and thoughtful therapist who offers individual counselling and psychotherapy to adults navigating life’s challenges, transitions, and deeper questions of identity, meaning, and connection. She brings a warm, collaborative presence to her work, creating a space where clients feel respected, understood, and supported at their own pace.
Nabya works from an integrative, trauma-informed lens, drawing primarily from Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), and mindfulness-based approaches. Her work is also informed by relational, narrative, and strengths-based perspectives, allowing therapy to be tailored to each client’s unique experiences, values, and goals.
She supports individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma and post-traumatic stress symptoms, grief and loss, emotional regulation concerns, life transitions, relationship and interpersonal challenges, stress and burnout, identity exploration, and sexual health and intimacy concerns. Nabya has particular interest in supporting newcomers to Canada, clients navigating systemic or institutional oppression, and individuals exploring spirituality, values, and meaning. She is affirming of 2SLGBTQIA+ identities and works from an inclusive, sex-positive, and culturally responsive framework.
Outside of the therapy room, Nabya is passionate about fitness and wellness, with yoga being a grounding and meaningful practice in her life. She also enjoys reading, travelling, and — very importantly — a really good cup of coffee.
