
Nalisa Dhanraj
Therapist / MACP, RPshe/her/hersNalisa Dhanraj, MSW, RSW (she/her) is a Registered Social Worker who provides compassionate, trauma-informed counselling to individuals and couples. She works with clients navigating relationship challenges, emotional regulation, anxiety, depression, grief, life transitions, and experiences of trauma, abuse, or betrayal. Nalisa also supports couples exploring communication, conflict resolution, premarital and relational growth, and the impact of cultural and racial dynamics on partnerships.
Nalisa’s approach is integrative, evidence-informed, and client-centered. She blends Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), Gottman Method Couples Therapy, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and solution-focused and strengths-based approaches. Nalisa creates a safe space for clients to explore their emotions, build resilience, and work toward meaningful change. She also has training in trauma-focused therapy, clinical trauma, and psychedelic-assisted therapy, and incorporates relational and person-centered methods to support insight, growth, and healing.
Outside of her clinical work, Nalisa enjoys spending time with her dog, Rupert, exploring nature, and learning new skills and hobbies, from sewing and embroidery to ASL. She offers sessions in person at the Milton office, as well as virtually or by phone for Ontario residents, and is committed to fostering a therapeutic space that is welcoming, supportive, and affirming.
