Kelly McDonnell-Arnold is a Certified Sexologist, Individual and Relationship Therapist and Masters Level Registered Social Worker (RSW) and Registered Psychotherapist (RP). She has received formal education on a breadth of sexual and relational topics, including the various sexual dysfunctions, sexuality across the lifespan, desire discrepancy between partners, sexuality and illness, sexuality and loss, trauma, erotic preferences, and non-monogamy. She has a particularly strong interest in personal and sexual development and empowerment, increasing intimacy, trust, and satisfaction between partners, effective communication, self exploration, and working through roadblocks in order to create a life that is truly blissful. Kelly received her double undergraduate degree in Psychology and Sociology with Honours from Wilfrid Laurier University, after which she pursued a Master’s degree in Forensic Sexology at Curtin University of Technology in Perth, Western Australia. She has completed additional training in EMDR Therapy and holds a certificate in Sex Therapy from the University of Guelph, and finally a Master’s of Business Administration with a specialization in Health Care Administration from Niagara University, NY USA. Kelly has worked as a Therapist in numerous addiction treatment facilities, and as a Quality Consultant in a large community hospital, focused on improving both physical and mental health care services in the KW community. Kelly has been on the Board of Directors for Planned Parenthood KW and is the Co-Founder of Indulge In Bliss and MelandKel.Co. She established her own private practice in 2010. Three years later, her dream of founding a collaborative group practice was realized with the launch of Bliss Counselling & Psychotherapy in 2013. Kelly is an active member of the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW), the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO), American Association of Sex Educators, Counselors, and Therapists (AASECT), American College of Sexologists (ACS), Ontario Association of Consultants, and the Western Australian Sexology Society (WASS). Kelly is the Host of Sex Talk with Kelly on Rogers TV and is a sought after specialist and personality in the field of relationships and sexuality. She has appeared on talk shows, as a keynote speaker at international conferences, including the World Association for Sexual Health and her work has been featured in Chatelaine, Canadian Family, Holistic Parent, and Beautiful Beginnings Bridal Magazine, as well as several online magazines, such as Elephant Journal, MindBodyGreen, SheKnows, and Bustle. Kelly brings acceptance and encouragement and provides a space for deep personal exploration, growth, and expansion. She believes her role is to guide, empower and encourage her clients, while they own their growth process and take actionable steps to realize their potential and create the fulfilling lives and relationships they’ve been dreaming about.
